Band Fined for Overplaying

The Colorado Daily News is reporting that the band was fined $15,000 for exceeding the curfew at CU's Folsom Field show on the 12th. The rule is apparently $1,000 per minute over the curfew until the 16th minute, which then costs $10,000 a minute. The band was aware of the fine and played on, including a two-song encore. Said the band's publicist, "If they were having fun, they wouldn't stop because of the curfew. Obviously, they were having fun and wanted to keep playing." All told, the band and the promoter will still split nearly $2 million dollars from the show's proceeds. Thanks to Matt Casey for the news.
