Dave on Crossroads on Friday

Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris will be performing together on CMT's Crossroads on Friday evening. This monthly TV show pairs up a country artist with an artist from another genre for a performance interlaced with discussion. The show was taped on November 7th in New York City, in front of an invitation-only audience. This is not the first Crossroads effort: Dave Matthews Band was paired with The Dixie Chicks in May of last year, but it never happened, due to logistical problems. Dave Matthews has somewhat of a history with Emmylou Harris—she opened for Dave and Friends during the recent tour, he sang on two tracks on her 2000 release, Red Dirt Girl, and drummer Brady Blade and bassist Tony Hall (two of the friends in "Dave and Friends"), have both worked extensively with Emmylou Harris. Crossroads will only be airing on the CMT networks. It airs at 9pm EST, but check local listings. Thanks to Jen Brewbaker for the reminder.
