DMBML Stirs Up Controversy

Pete Mocker, creator of the DMB Mailing List, posted a surprising story on his website today. The piece, entitled "Red Light Curbs Sales of Step Into the Light," said that Red Light Management was preventing further sales of "Step Into The Light," an unauthorized DMB biography.

The story said that "Capshaw & co. join growing number of corrupt managements," Mocker even quoted Coran Capshaw, band manager.

nancies.org started to get e-mail almost immediately, including a piece from somebody looking to start a petition and a boycott against DMB.

When nancies.org contacted Mocker, he explained that the story was merely an April Fools' joke, not intended to offend. Red Light, when contacted by nancies.org, did not feel that Mocker's piece warranted a response.
