Truth Stranger Indeed

This story is right out of the truth is stranger than fiction department.

The story from MTV News:

"Dave Matthews clashed with a bunch of grapes while horsing around in his hotel room the day before his band's sold-out shows took place in Foxboro, Massachusetts over Memorial Day weekend. The grapes won, and now the frontman is nursing two broken ribs."

MTV spoke with Dave at a party for Carlos Santana where Dave gave them a rundown on what happened.

"A friend of mine was throwing grapes for me to catch in my mouth, and they threw one a little long ... I tripped over something behind me and landed on the arm of a chair. So I broke a couple ribs. But I'm okay. I mean, I'm fine. I didn't know they were broken until this morning, so I had that going for me."

What makes this story even worse is that Dave apparently tripped over his own guitar case.
