The recent spate of announced Dave Matthews solo shows may be indicative of deeper issues within the band, as many fans have begun to speculate. It cannot escape notice that Dave's solo gigs come on the heels of the Everyday tour, promoting an album that was almost entirely written by Dave and producer Glen Ballard, circumventing the "everybody-writes-everything" and "we all stand in a circle and play together when we record" approach that has served the band so well for so long.
