Greg & Tim's Rerelease

Greg Howard has reissued Sticks and Stones: A Collection of Spontaneous Improvisations, his 1987 recording with Tim Reynolds. The disc, which is in fact a collection of spontaneous improvisations, was recorded on a four-track at Greg's house in the spring of 1987, with Tim on electric guitar and Greg on Chapman Stick, sax, and synth. Thus far, collectors have been forced to track down the album in used tape recording bins at Charlottesville record stores. Now it's been remastered and pressed onto CD, with all 10 tracks intact. Sticks and Stones is a must for any Tim Reynolds aficionado -- it can be purchased from Musictoday or from Amazon.com. Speaking of these guys, Greg will be joining Tim on his Nomadic Wavelength tour for a handful of shows in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia in late October and early November.
