DMB to Receive Lippert Award

Rolling Stone is reporting that DMB will be the recipients of the Patrick Lippert Award for musicians who work to educate young people about politics. The award will be presented to the band on February 26, at MTV's Rock the Vote event at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. Destiny's Child will also be receiving the Patrick Lippert Award. Rock the Vote was founded in 1990 to fight enfringements on freedom of speech and artistic expression and to educate young Americans on their political power and responsibilities.
