Busted Stuff Debuts at #1

Busted Stuff, to nobody's surprise, has debuted at #1, according to SoundScan. Sales of 622,000 propelled the album to the third best debut this year, behind Eminem's The Eminem Show and Nelly's Nellyville. The total, however, was just 85% of the first-week tally for last year's first-week sales of Everyday. Though it's anybody's guess why sales were down, Rolling Stone speculates that it may be a result of people owning the songs in Lillywhite form, the generally-poor state of the music industry or that "Where Are You Going" simply isn't as big of a hit as "I Did It."
