Internet Archive Removes DMB Shows

At the request of Dave Matthews Band management, the Internet Archive has removed their vast collection of CD-quality Dave Matthews Band, Dave Matthews solo, and Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds shows from their site. This comes just three days after the band's taping policy was altered to forbid "posting audio or video files on web sites for streaming or downloading by the public." The policy change has been extremely controversial, with some arguing that how the audio is transferred shouldn't be of the band's concern, and with others arguing that taping is a privilege, and thus the band's wishes must be respected. It had not been known if the policy would actually be enforced, but this appears to settle that question. Our thanks to Matthew Simpson for the tip.
