As with albums past (dmb-bustedstuff.com and dmb-everyday.com before it), Dave Matthews Band has put up a website to promote their forthcoming album.
Mark Batson

As the album remains (publicly) nameless, the website is at dmbnewstudioalbum.com. On it, the band announces that the producer of this album is Mark Batson, known for his writing and production work with pop artists like Anthony Hamilton, Seal, Beyoncé, and India.Arie, along with contributions to the work of Eminem and Gwen Stefani. The lineup of talent with whom Batson has worked skews towards the realm of Glen Ballard, the producer of Everyday who proved disastrously unpopular among DMB fans -- it will be interesting to see if Batson, the band's fourth producer in their career, can avoid the same fate. The band seems to be conscious of this, drawing a contrast with the Everyday sessions, saying that "things are unfolding in a really natural way." The only additional information available on the website right now is that offered in a video clip of the band in their Albemarle County studio, working on the album and talking about their collaboration with Batson. Thanks to Jeff for the news.
