Dave to Act in "Lake City"

Hollywood Reporter broke the news earlier this week that Dave Matthews will star in a new movie titled "Lake City." Fellow Charlottesvillian and famed actress Sissy Spacek will play the protagonist while Dave will play the movie's antagonist. The movie is being shot here in Virginia, and filming is set to begin this week.

This will be Dave's third part in a movie. His first role was a minor one, as Wil Coleman in "Where The Red Fern Grows." Filming began in 1999, but it wasn't released until 2004, when it finally came out on DVD. His second role was in the more successful "Because of Winn Dixie," which was released early last year.
