DMB 2002's Most Popular Act

Billboard Magazine reports that "more people saw Dave Matthews Band this year than any other act on the planet, with some 1.4 million passing through the the gates to the tune of $52.8 million." DMB's 77 shows this year have been, by their own design, almost entirely in amphitheaters and arenas since they decided to eschew stadiums for venues with a more intimate feel, which makes their #1 ranking all the more impressive.
