"Matthews and Friends" Tour Planned

Readers affiliated with venues around the country have been telling us that Dave Matthews is looking at touring late this year. The venues are good sized -- smaller than stadiums, but much larger than the venues that Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds tend to play on their acoustic tours. The act is tentatively billed as "Dave Matthews and Friends," with some sources -- such as Phish site "Phantasy Tour" -- reporting less solidly that Tim Reynolds and Trey Anastasio are the "friends." If this tour happens, as it is likely to, then some official word is likely in the next few weeks.
