Well, not one of my favorites due to the "standard" set list. I predicted the encore and the last song of the encore. The lights were used much more for audience "participation" then I have seen in four previous show's. Timmy was wearing his robe. To the setlist: DDTW-Slow opener, no reprise, standard album version Stay-Cool ending, seemed to go on forever. Other than that, not much special. Dave was doing his dance through the whole thing. Leroi Solo=>PNP=>Rapunzel-Was pretty standard until a wicked jam at the end with the lights going crazy. Dave, Boyd and Leroi went wild. Rhyme & Reason-A little dissappointing...nothing different from UTTAD Crush-Great version with a solo by Tim in the middle and a Carter solo at the end. Wynona-Unexpected, but not one of my favorites. Hard to listen to with everyone going to the bathroom. Say Goodbye-Carter had a drum solo intro which teased #36. Not as much messing around with the lyrics by Dave as usual. Too Much-Good song after a slow point in the concert. Lights were going nuts which got the crowd pumped. Jimi Thing-AWESOME. Boyd went wild on the part between verses. Leroi was going crazy at the end while Stefan played what sounded like the baseline to Crush. Tim solo at the end. This one went on for a long time. Crash-I actually like this song, especially in concert. This one wasn't as good as I have heard, but Tim did some cool stuff with his pedals. Seas and oceans and dixie chicken. LIOG-AWESOME. Boyd was nuts during the middle, but the boys filled in well. One of the best middle parts I've heard because the rest of the boys were really involved, it's tough to describe. Boyd played the last few minutes of his "solo" facing Carter. It got real slow before Tim put in an cool solo. The crowd went nuts when Dave started singing again. DIDO-Pretty standard...Dave sang "God has all but left me behind, but don't worry, we'll just make a new fucking god." Two Step-They borught out these cool red lights with white polka dots around the edge. They used those well for an awesome 2-step. Tim had another solo towards the end, after they stopped the music he came in. Encore- Christmas Song-"This is a song about a guy I really admire"...nice touch with the red and green lights. Tripping Billies-Good closer, but I've seen it every concert I've been to, so it's a little repetitive. Strobe light effect on Carter which was cool. All in all, I give the show a six. The boys were playing well, but the setlist offered nothing truly exciting in terms of variation and song placement...Carter was awesome as usual.

I tell you what, everytime I see these guys, they just keep getting better and better. A pretty good venue for the show too. Good sounding, and a nice place. First off, I just missed Maceo Parker, as I caught the last song. But what I heard was pretty good. Now, song by song Don't Drink the Water-Decent opener, got the crowd into it pretty quick, and the whole band seemed to be into it....very good version Stay-Very nicely done....Much, much better without those singers....Again, got the crowd into it, and Dave had some pretty good moves....I am just glad I got to hear Boyd very well... PNP->Rapunzel-A very nice Leroi solo to start off, and the into the song...Very good version...good moves by Dave, and great violin work from Boyd... Rhyme and Reason-Unexpected, but lots of energy.... Crush-My favorite part of this song is definitely the Boyd solo, and he didn't let me down....Tim R. also had a great solo in this one.... Beauty of Wynona-A total shock...I was so happy to hear this one...One of my faves of the show...Dave and Tim were great on this song Say Goodbye-was hoping for a #41->Say Goodbye...but I'll take what I can get....great performace of this song...I was really happy to hear...I loved all the emotion in it, especially at the end Too Much-Surprised there was no Bridge....An all around good version, nothing spectacular, but got the crowd back into it. Jimi Thing-Dave and the boys kept the crowd into it with this....Dancing everywhere...Good jam from Boyd, and Tim Crash into Me-As much as people complain about the song, I really don't see why....it really is a beautiful song, and Tim just made it even better...and Dixie Chicken outro makes it a bit better.... Lie in Our Graves-I'd have to say, this was my favorite of the show....Boyd just went off, and went from side to side on the stage playing for the people in the front...and a great solo from Tim R. Drive In, Drive Out-Lots of energy....I was happy to hear this.... Two Step-A great song to end the set....Tim was amazing on this....A great version Encore: Christmas Song-I was hoping to hear this...and I am glad I did...was just Dave, Tim, and Carter....A beautiful version. Tripping Billies-everytime I hear the intro to this, I sigh wishing it were something...but by the time song begins, I am always dancing, and into it....Boyd was in full form for this, as well as the other members....A great way to close out a great show, and a great time...Fun was had by all tonight....Can't wait for the Dave and Tim tour....Tim is amazing....Later all.....

This was a very odd show, but definitely a great one. DDTW to opened sucked, plain sucked. It wasn't even a good version, the band had never played the palace before and it showed. The mix was not that good in the very beginning. After the DDTW nightmare they played Stay, which got a great radio crowd reaction, but was not that great. At least people started dancing. Roi's solo into PNP was great, if this is a new song its has potential, sounds to me a little like 41. Anyway then came the PNP->Rapunzel bit, which works only to open shows, not a few songs in, just doesnt have the feel. Already a little disappointed by the first few songs I kept my hopes up...and here it came, Crush. Very ordinary Crush, which is good don't get me wrong, and then Tim soloed at the end and kicked dave and the boys' asses and got the show moving. Then came Wynonna, and lord I swear I was the only person in the palace to have heard it before, EVERYONE sat down. Badass song, spooky, and T! immy again showed the boys what was up with a sick solo. OK, now the show started. Too Much, which I dislike and cursed of as a radio song, was the most emotional I have ever seen Dave, he absolutely tore it up with his growling. Very energized TM, followed by and emotional SG with an amazing Carter intro. Hello Jimi Thing! I was floating for the 10 or so minutes they jammed, the funny thing was that Tim didnt even solo, it was Boyd and Roi tearin it up. Then Crash Into me came, and there was no place else I'd rather have been then with my girlfriend. Pretty. Good morning its Boyd Tinsley time! LIOG rocked the palace like never before, Boyds violin actually caught on fire I believe. DIDO is not my favorite, but it was tight and it should have been called the Carter thousand arms and Tim's effects show. Two Step got the crowd totally moving, and that little slow it down then have Carter bang the hell out of something bit gave me a heart attack. Nice way to end. Chr! istmas song was an easy call with the red and green lights, very pretty. Then Billies, I wanted Watchtower or heaven forbid, Granny, but was treated to part two of the boyd tinsley show. Lit the palace on fire. Thats it, great show, DMB always is. Bad start, but they made up for it tenfold. Peace.

Hey everyone, I'm exhausted but I thought I'd send you my thoughts before I head off to sleep. Tonight was an incredibly solid show. Tim went through at least 4 solos...Boyd was definitely on...Carter was more than on and Leroi was just smiling and being goofy. I wasn't expecting any unreleased songs but "For the Beauty of Wynonna?" Who would have thought?? Unbelievable. Two Step was definitely a highlight... different withought Bela up there, but the boys can definitely handle their own. I was very impressed with the Palace's sound quality, the accoustic's were great. The show lasted about 2 hours 20 minutes, overall a very solid show. See you guys on the accoustic tour. Later.

Before the show Well let's just say the ride to the Palace was eventful. I planned the ride on being 50 minutes and it turned out to be 1:20. This was due to the crazy directions that I got off the web (I'm from MN) and also the bumper to bumper traffic 5 miles from the Palace. When I finally got to the Palace, I had missed Maceo Parker and got just got settled into my wonderful seat (rear stage, upperdeck) when DMB came on. Show The scene around me was actually pretty good for where we were situated. There were no fights, no extremely tanked fools and nobody telling me to sit down. The view from behind the stage was not all that bad except for staring at the back of the bands domes for the whole show. I could see the whole stage and everyone clearly, just from behind. The light show is great from this view and I got to actually see the drums that Carter was going crazy on. I can now say that Carter really is god. The band came out and started warming up and I noticed Timmy there in what looked like a mumu from behind but was actually a huge trench coat/robe type thing. The whole show I kept looking at him and envisioning a skinnier Fishman playing guitar. They didn't seem like they were very into this show, maybe they were all jammed out with the Bela shows. The setlist wasn't that great and they played way to many radio hits. The crowd loved it but I guess I was the only one wishing for some old scho! ol tunes. The crowd was into everything that the band did - except, For the Beauty of Wynona. I think I was the only one who knew it in my section and everybody sat down. Timmy didn't add much until half way through the set and he was incredible when he got a chance. Leroi wasn't spotlighted in the show at all and Boyd got a couple chances to Shine (and they were great). Carter had a few solos which really got the crowd cheering, especially from the back section. Songs Don't Drink the Water - Standard version, it didn't really get me moving as an opener, which really starts the evening off bad Stay - This version had about 30 stays at the end which is about 20 over the limit. Didn't care for this one. Pantala Naga Pampa->Rapunzel - Wait, 3 straight BTCS songs, what's up with this. This was better that average and got the crowd really moving. Rhyme & Reason - Caught me a little off guard with this one and it really sounded good. The light show was great on this one. Crush - Timmy finally surfaces on this song and gives us a great slow solo and then they all join in and finish strong on this one. For the Beauty of Wynona - Great cover song. First thought it was Last Stop with the intro but I was very impressed. Say Goodbye - Another great song. Maybe the concert can be saved. With Carter's mind boggling intro and Timmy's solo this was a sweet version. Too Much - This song was very tight and even though it is a radio song I followed the crowd and got into this one. Jimi Thing - Yeah Baby! This was a 12 minute version and was incredible with Timmy, Boyd, and Leroi taking solos. Crash - OK. I'm getting sick of all these radio songs. Dixie Chicken outro , but that is the only thing good about this one. Lie in Our Graves - Another great jam with Boyd going crazy for what seemed like forever. This dance party clocked out at 15 minutes. Drive In, Drive Out - All I can say is Carter is the man. I have a new found love for this song. Great version. Two Step - I was wishing for this one and we all got a huge early Christmas present. With Timmy's great solo and the stop in the middle, it was easily the highlight of the night. ENCORE: Christmas Song - When only Tim, Carter, and Dave came out I knew it was either this or IBYU and I'm glad we got this one. Tripping Billies - I was hoping for Warehouse but what can you expect, Dave has to please the masses. This version was very tight and is still a great closer. Overall the show had too many radio songs and songs from BTCS. It started off slow in my mind and picked up some steam in the middle but didn't really get moving because there was always something to slow it down like Crash. There was negative Davespeak and that might have put a damper on the show. Oh yeah one other thing about halfway through DIDO the rear speaker kicked in, I guess it wasn't set to it's full potential for almost the whole show. The concert sounded so much better after that point. Well this is getting crazy long so I'll end it.

My sixth time seeing Dave and it was very good. I love seeing Dave in concert, but I was a little disappointed with the setlist. i could have done without hearing everyone of the radio play songs. The junior high girls in front of me seemed to like it though. Highlight for me were For the Beauty of Wynonna, which I knew but no one else around me did. Stay is always great live and a good second song. Jimi Thing, sixth time seeing it and have loved it every time. LIOG was amazing, with great solo's by LeRoi, Boyd and Tim. Two step, the Christmas song, which again I was the only one in my section that stood for this song or had even heard of it, and Tripping Billies was a great way to finish it off. The second half of the show saved it for me, because I was a little disapointed at the beginning. Seeing Tim reynolds in concert was incredible. I had been waiting for quite some time for this, and it was well worth the wait. he blew my mind with his solo's and he adds so ! much to the band. Hopefully the next time I get a chance to see the Band they will play some unheard stuff.

Great set in my opinion, however, I was a little dissappointed with the encore. Don't get me wrong, because I love the Christmas Song, but I was really hoping to get a #41 or REALLY hoping for Halloween. Tripping Billies just doesn't end a show for me, it's more of an opener or a middle of the set after a slow song type of tune. Anyway, on to the review. We arrived at the Palace around 6:45 after HELLISH traffic. Our seats were in sec E on the floor, row 5. About 25 rows or so from the stage. I could see fine, snapped a few pictures and had a great time. DDTW-Second time I've seen it as an opener. I don't like it as an opener but I guess at least it's out of the way. Stay-What a happy song, everyone was up and dancing and having a great time. The end was very long... Leroi->PNP->Rapunzel-I haven't heard this jam before PNP yet, it's so groovy! Talk about leaving the crowd clueless. I was loving it. Leroi is just SO talented. Rapunzel had a lot of energy, and oh wow!-we could FINALLY hear Timmy. Rhyme and Reason-One my favorite UTTAD songs, heard it last year in Detroit on the summer tour, and it still packs a mean punch. Timmy was ripping it up on this song, and Dave was wailing, indicating to me that his voice was money tonight. Crush-two words. TIM REYNOLDS. 7 minutes of pure soloing from Tim, making it a shorter version, but THE best I have heard yet. (I'd say it was around 12 min rather than the ususal 17-20). The radio crowd sang the "YEAHHHH!!" at the point in the song where a cut was made for the radio edit. Hilarious. For the Beauty of Wynona-This song floored me, and it was the highlight for me. I was amazed that they pulled it out tonight, especially after hearing BTCS songs 4/5 of the time. Timmy was wailing AGAIN! Nothing would stop him tonight, he was a man possessed. The best part of this song-THE CROWD WAS QUIET! I just closed my eyes and sank into this awesome song. Things would change after this... Say Goodbye-I knew it was coming when I heard Carter banging on the toms. This is such a great live song, and it made me miss my ex-girlfriend...yeah yeah yeah, boo hoo. Leroi did a great flute solo, too. Too Much-No ASTB/Little Baby jam. Just 4 drum stick clicks and off they went. I was hoping for a "Fame" outro, but didn't get it. Lots of power, Tim made his presence known...AGAIN. Jimi Thing-LONG...LOUD...TIM...BOYD...DAVE...LEROI...lots of solos plus a long jam near the end to boot. Had my mouth gaping at the end it was so good! (As Pat put it--"It was THE Jimi Thing") Crash into Me-ummm yeah. One happy note-Dave saved it by throwing in the Dixie Chicken lyrics, I loved that! Other than that, it was the same...way...they...do...it...every...time... LIOG-Yikes, I didn't know when this song was going to end! In the middle jam, first we got Boyd in his usual place, and then it got quiet like they were going back into the "I can't believe"...part when Tim started to play a few notes, and a few more, and then some more, and then he just soloed for another 5-7 minutes or so. WOW. Amazing. Leroi left the stage in the jam, so I knew he wouldn't be soloing. Altogether one of the best live performances of this song I have ever heard. DIDO-Whoa, I've been waiting 5 shows now to hear this one and MAN was it worth the wait. Solo's from Tim left and right, CARTER BEAUFORD ON THE DRUMS, lyrics being spit out in whatever Dave could think of...wow, not much left to say. VERY powerful. This and Wynona were the highlight to me. Dave threw in something about "making up a funky new God and then we can DRIVE IN AND DRIVE OUT OF THIS!!" Wow... Two Step-what a way to close! Powerful, loud, and I know Dave loves to play this one live. It shows every time I hear it. Great solo from Tim, and a very nice finish. At one point, it got VERY quiet all of a sudden and I thought they were done, but they slowly brought it back up and slammed out the end of it. ENCORE: Christmas Song-It was very quiet inside of the Palace, I was proud of the crowd. Very beautiful, Tim had nice smooth solo's to add, and Dave did great. His voice was still in good shape. Tripping Billies-Ugh, I'm sorry, but I can truly say that before it, I was saying to myself..."not Billies, please not Billies" But that's what they played. I loved it, trust me, but I could have really gone for a more musical, and longer closer. #41 for example, Warehouse or Watchtower. But Billies DID close the set off well, the crowd loved it, and I still danced. Great show, great set, chalk up show number 6 :) Seeya on the acoustic tour.

Boyd!!!!!!! If the concert could be summed up in one word, that would be it. He was amazing tonight, all over the stage and that hair just flying everywhere. Out of the first six songs, five were from the new album, which wasn't bad but I wanted some old stuff. Well did Dave amaze me with, For the Beauty of Wynonna, what a song. Then, Say Goodbye I heard #41 in Grand Rapids so this was a perfect song. Too Much was good, but ahhh too many radio songs. Then they all flew at and the rest of the setlist did not disappoint one bit. Jimmi Thing, awesome, always a great live song. Crash eveyone stood back up and I do like the song even though we've all heard a ton. After Crash I looked at my buddy and he almost looked disappointed and I knew it had to do with the setlist. With Lie in Our Graves, that look vanished and Dave took him for a ride the rest of the show. Dave was dancing, Boyd was all over the stage and little Tim Reynolds jammed and jammed good. LIOG to DIDO! then came one I thought my not be played this night, but when Boyd took out his pick we knew it could be none other than Two Step and what a jam. The encore was perfect, The Christmas Song was beautiful, way too many people talking though but I tuned into Dave and never let go. Tripping Billies is a great end to any show, and Boyd put a huge exclamation point on his night. Again he was all over. Overall Great show and a fair setlist, it could have been mixed up more in the beginning but the end was perfect. My ninth show and I have not been disappointed once. Dave was really on, Carter had a Red Wings jersey on and can he ever bang on those drums. They all had me for the whole show and thats what these shows are about. Escaping the reality of your worries (finals next week) and just jamming and dancing with a bunch of friends. At the end of the show Dave said something that I will not soon forget, he told us all to "take care of eachother" Well Dave, you sure took c! are of me, off to study for finals.

Wow! This was an incredible concert! I saw Dave in June '97 at Pine Knobb and thought that this concert was 1000 times better! A wonderful combination of songs; old and new, fast and slow! Immediately the crowd went wild with "Don't Drink the Water" and suddenly I have an entirely new love for that song! "Stay" was so fun, and from that point on I could not take my eyes off of the show! I am so glad that "Rapunzel" followed "Pantala Naga Pampa", maybe that's really cheesy of me, but I just loved how it sounded live! "Crush" was fabulous, and I was also so excited about "Say Goodbye"- for some reason I didn't expect them to play that, so when they started I loved it! Plus, the intro was sooo good! I know that everyone feels the "Crash Into Me" is SO overplayed, but it's new all over again when it is played in concert and I didn't want it to ever stop! Also, I LOVE "Lie in Our Graves" and the violin in the middle went on and on and was absolutely incredible! I though! t I was going to cry I was so touched by everything! I have been checking the set lists on here for the last few days and was hoping that for Encore they would do "I'll Back you Up" because I noticed that they've been playing it a lot lately. I was only a tiny bit disappointed though because "Christmas Song" was awesome! I know that a lot of people were probably not so excited because it isn't that well known, but true Dave fan's should have loved it! "Tripping Billies" as a finale was wild and fun! I wish the Band would've come back for another Encore...they were wondeful! Also, I love the cute little dances that Dave does and watching his feet. I cannot wait to see him again!

This was my first dmb show ever!! After numerous bootlegs. Maceo was so sweet it almost hurted!! As far as Dmb goes , this is the best setlist I have ever seen in my life! It was a really nice mix of songs with radio and unrelased. Too anyone who has this show Please Please Please email me and leme have it!! Ill do anything for this tape!To the actual show..... DDTW- Seen it coming . when the lights went out the techs were checking everything out to make sure and I heard the low D from the bass and I new it. Solid Jam Stay- Loved it got the crowd into it . Long Jam at the end Pnp-Rapunzel- Called this one also. It was the phat and funky funked up version. Very slow but it grooved to all hell. Timmy had some kind of organ effect on his guitar that was cool. Rhyme and Reason- Nice suprise. Pretty much album version. Crush-Hell Yeah!! Nothing but girls dancing on this song. It was so sweet at the end with that vamp part that they do. And carter doing the tripplets takin turns accenting a dofferent beat evertime was crazy! Timmy rocked as usual! Again he used the organ effect on the guitar again! FTBOW- This song sounds so good live. Typical rock tune but it jams out! Say Goodbye- Carter!!!!!!! Big Baby!!! Hey folks Im a drummer as a matter of fact I will be all state this year in jazz band. This solo ripped! Singles around the toms. They played rest of the song cool. But the begining was special! Too Much- my friend dale was like he's picking up the bari and we new what time it was. Big ending . Great live version Jimi Thing- The crowd was going nuts when he Dave hit the first chords. Phat ass baseline by stefan in roi's solo. Boyd u crazy azz man u! Nice long 20 minute version. Crash- I called this one also. Immediately the place erupted. Good solid version. U gotta love tghe song no matter how much he plays it. Girls and more girls/ Dave iz tha pimp of tha decade! LIOG- When Crash was over i thought the set was over. But they stayed on and this song was just off the hook. Like 20 minutes long. Boyd iz crazy!!!! He took like a 8 minute solo that was just all over the place. And again the crowd ate it up. I think that's wht this song went so long. The crowd was loving it. We all started to clap at the end. Then timmy soloed and the rest was history. DIDO- This was too much! I thought it was over then dido. Pretty standard version. Two Step- Woah!! I new it when I heard the notes . Again I swore crash was going to end it. They spoil us with 2 more songs then the phattest funkiest version of 2 step known to man. Again Carter , like the way u work it dawg. He was just the shit at the end with his patented 4 stroke fill all over the place. I love stefans groove at the end to!! Great way to close. Encore: Christmas song(Dave, Stefan, Carter)- Again Dave u big azz pimp u!! Mellow song that I hadnt heard since I listened two r2 things. This song was nice and lovely for the ladies. No matter how christmas it is. Tripping Billies- Baby baby baby!! Leme tell u carter went off at the end!!! Timpani crossover from hell!! As well Boyd was going nuts. Get that man at least 10 boows per concert. When they ended carter's drum tech had to help him off. Carter u mad man!! Don't hurt yourself!! The lights flashing on and off was awesome. Excellent concert !! Keep in mind folks , no disrespect to other cities , but we just no how to treat this band best!! The crowd was into it all nite!!!!! THe only concert I been to was the sweetest of this leg of the tour!! If anyone has this on tape. Holla at me! ( That means email me) And it has to be a good version to!
