The Valentine's Day show stood out for several reasons. The crowd was great - Dave complimented us on being nice and quiet. The guys were really into the show: amazing jams and a lot of joking by both Dave and Tim. TimmySpeak consisted of guitar effects, and I've never seen both of them laugh out soud so much. Even though the setlist was kinda repetitive from the nights before, the versions were spectacular. Saturday, I heard Wild Horses in Columbia at soundcheck; I knew it was due, and they did a beautiful rendition of it, with Dave on 12 string. In response to someone's "Song that Jane Likes!", Dave says, "she likes 'em all." The encore was dedicated to his sweetheart, who was in the house, and to all the couples: the tour's first Lover Lay Down. Beautiful. This show was solid all over. Timmy's second solo got a standing ovation: timmy used the repeating pedal effect and left the stage, with his guitar still filling the auditorium. it was insane. Dave talked a lot, again, but with few stories to speak of. A great show and a nice way to end one of the greatest weekends of my life: following Timmy and Dave.

Great venue i thought, Furman is a beautiful school. Anyways , started with Crush and the The Stone, nice. Two Step into a funky Stay. I've heard alot of negatives. I thought it was a phat way to jazz up a crowd pleaser. #41, beautiful as ever. Heard Reconcile Our Differences for the first time, into DDTW (this land...) needed that!. Dave talked all night, alot about "burping positions", boogers and ear wax, too funny. Must of been in a good mood. Then on to LIOG, real tight, Crash, then Tim's solo. Dont know what it was. I was so glad that everyone didn't get up to use the bathroom. Tim was great, I really think he had a fun night, I think he was almost going to speak. Then my favorite, Wild Horses...Dave sang his heart out. Jimi Thing (shook me...) --->What Will Become of Me---->Pantala. It was just as good as it sounds. Dave was biting on his thumb nail between songs and a piece fell on the floor. Tim looked over and they both shrugged their shoulders and went on..loved it. Got to hear Christmas Song finally, everything I expected. Proudest--->Satellite was nice. Then I could of sworn I heard 2 chords of Granny then some girl screamed " Say Goodbye, pleeeaaase!" So being Valentines Dave obliged her. So I got to hear what i came for and it was beautiful. Dave dedicated Lover Lay Down to his girlfriend. Ended it with Tripping Billies, fine end to a fine show. Thanks D&T.
