This was by far the most intimate settings in which I have seen Dave perform to date. A riser was set in the middle of Seattle's famous Crocodile Cafe (home to many early Pearl Jam shows) and Dave performed one Elvis song six times, and eight of his own songs while surrounded by about 100 excited fans. The Elvis song recorded was "Stuck On You" and will be broadcast on NBC on Thanksgiving evening. After the first three takes, Dave did an impromptu rendition of Gravedigger as the camera crew swapped out tapes and cameras. Following the last three takes of "Stuck", Dave performed seven more songs for the audience. Dancing Nancies, Bartender, and The Stone especially stand out in my mind. Dave was in an especially chatty mood, told a number of great stories, and had an audience member hold his beer as he had no where to set it while he played. It was a real treat for a Seattleite like me to see Dave perform in quite possibly Seattle's best and most well-known small club.
