Tonight, the show was okay. There was some dissappointers though, the fact that the band played pretty much all the same songs that they did the past two shows (in Woodlands, and Oklahoma City), so for those who go to more than one show, the setlist was a repeat! The performance of the guys was pretty good. Boyd was so much fun during Antz! And the Watchtower performance at the end was definately something to brag about, it was really awesome, (though we already saw them play it on Tuesday in OKC). It was of course so much fun to get to see Dave play, that is always a given, oh yeah, and the fact that they got off the stage at 10pm.!!! That's just not right! People paid a lot of money to get a decent length show! They took a 7 min. break or so, and came back out for the encore, but the whole show was said and done by 10:30pm. That has got to be the earliest in a while for them to be completely finished and off stage! Looking forward to a fall tour with Dave to kind of make up for tonight.

American Airlines show very good - not GREAT like I am used to seeing with DMB. Crowd at Dallas is way too social. I was literally surrounded by people who visit during the show! Hundreds of people were filing in and out the entire concert. You can "hang out" anywhere and at anytime...it blows my mind that people aren't there to witness and hear the best band in the world! Setlist in Ok. City was better - much more energy. Nice to hear Crush, DDTW, Ants,GIG, OSW, etc. but these so called fans in Dallas need Two Step, Warehouse, Rapunzel, Crash, etc. to keep the people involved! Good show - bad crowd. DMB should play Smirnoff Music Center in Dallas so that the "socializers" won't go.

My first DMB concert, extraordinary. Got very lucky with Last Stop and Watchtower. Last Stop was good, but not as good as the Chicago CD, he sped up the pace and moved around the lyrics - still good though. Encore was The Maker, and Watchtower was very last. Watchtower is a thing of beauty. Very similar to Folsom DVD, minus the busy lighting when he hits "all along the watchtower" for the first time. Crush was also a good surprise. I wish they wouldn't waste concert space on Where Are You Going. If I want to pay $50 for a seat, I want GOOD DMB songs or some serious emotion. All in all - I loved it.

Very medoicre show. I guess I was due for a letdown after seeing such a great show in OKC. It didn't help that I was in the "disinterested" section of the AAC. At least I got a great view since there were about four rows of people sitting down in front of me. The energy from the crowd wasn't there and the band didn't seem too into it either. DDTW is so predictable these days. Heard it about 6 times. Tired of it. Crush was great. Not a huge fan of DIDO. If I Had It All & WTWE, boring. Last Stop was definitely a highlight, although it seemed Dave was reading the lyrics off a sheet on the ground in front of him. I was hoping to hear it, and it was great. All the radio fans enjoyed WAYG. It was nothing more than a letdown after LS for me. SMTS alone, without ASTB, was nothing special. I still like OSW and Grey Street even though I've heard them a bunch. Pay for What You Get was a nice surprise. Seems the generic fans didn't have much use for it since there was a constant stream up the aisles for more beer, but I really enjoyed it. Pretty standard Ants but it was nice to hear again. Minarets was nice to hear again as well. Really cool song. Grace was nice as Fonz played that slide instrument while Dave joined him for the first little bit of the song. Too Much: same as every other time I've heard it. Probably the biggest highlight was The Maker. I've been wanting to hear it for a long time and they didn't disappoint. Watchtower finally brought out the energy. Fonz and Dave again got together for part of the intro. That could be a work in progress. They really tore this one up. Unfortunately, it was a little too late since the rest of the show lacked any energy.

i only have 1 word to say about the perfermance tonight at AAC...amazing! The boys came on tonight with so much energy right off the bat with Don't Drink the Water...then steffan started a little base riff right into the crush into... DIDO was amazing with carter going crazy on the drums...i was a little disappointed with the next 2 everyday album songs but they were OK...LAST STOP...one of the highlights of my night was at this time...WAYG - OK...slowed things down a big. So Much to Say got the crowd yelling and WHOO-HOOING once again...very nice One Sweet world and Grey Street...i was supprised to hear PFWYG and it was awesome, and then it happened...ANTS MARCHING AT MIDSET...tight ass version to with the all of a sudden symbol crash and the whole band started playing, MINARETS, WOW! very cool steffan intro to grace is gone, to close it all out was TOO MUCH!!! now the encore: very nice Maker with mellow dave singing...then...the other highlight of the night, WATCHTOWER!!!what an awesome version with alot of jamming in it...boyd went wild as well as Leroi and Carter...after the his own solo, boyd took off his beanie and his hair was FLYING around everywhere...so overall tonight would have to be AMAZING! i am very happy with the set and the Dave Matthews Band keeps suprising me to this date...thanks boys

This was my second DMB show, and it was so much better than 05.07.02. The crowd was so wild and energetic the entire show, and the band played off that so well. Opening with DDTW was really awesome, the crowd loved it. Crush was the second song, which surprised me how early it was, but the band was awesome. Carter was on fire all night, and Boyd was incredible. Ants Marching was probably the height of the show, where the audience was dancing and singing the most. I kept thinking they would segue into another song, especially after GIG, where Boyd was playing the Bartender chord, but no such luck. Stefan played the sitar for a while before I think Too Much, and it sounded really cool. Props to Stefan who was flying on his bass - he had a little solo near the end that was so technical and fast, he was flying. Before the encore, the band stayed off for 8 minutes 10 seconds, and the crowd was louder than ever before, there was actually a chant starting "We want Dave!" which then shortened to just "Dave!" The encore was strictly covers, though when Watchtower came on, the energy in the room was just as high as Ants. It was an incredible show all night.

if i could just get up on this soap-box here, please allow me a little bitch time. i moved to dallas 3 years ago from rochester, ny. i've always known that dave wasn't nearly as popular down here, but last night was truely pathetic. the crowds here are so ridiculosly lame. there were huge gaps of empty seats on the upper level, i was sitting in the second (platinum) level, and was from what i could see, was the only one standing. oh, a few stood up during ants and watchtower, but that was it. i seriously wanted to puke when i saw these idiots toasting each other when ants was played, but looking bored and uninterested during minarets, last stop and osw. what the hell's going on? god, it was such a radio friendly audience. i thought dave and the band did great, boyd and stephan had a lot of energy. i swear most of the people sitting around me must have gotten their ticket from their employers. 40-50 yr old in front of me clapped once, and that was for wayg. whatever man. it's the same cocaine and boob-job crowd that shows up at the first intermission for stars hockey games. such a fair-weather fan city. i was hoping they'd play tstjl, loving wings and warehouse, but once the show began and i saw how lame the audience was i didn't want to... well this might sound weird, but i didn't want to experience those songs around people so uninterested. i want to hear those songs around people that are as equally into it. not in dallas. maybe next time i'll drive to little rock. ok, enough of the bitch fest. all i gotta say it GORGE baby! i can't freakin wait.

I recently moved to Texas and I absolutely love the metroplex area. It was on Friday night that I found something that I completely disliked about Dallas.....it's fan base for Dave Matthews Band! I've been to over 20 shows at approximately 10 venues and this was the worst audience that I've ever seen. I have no problem with radio-friendly fans that go nuts for songs like Billies, Ants, and Crush, but it's a completely different story when the "fans" are talking loudly to one another, sitting down, or just plain walking out of the arena when they don't hear a familiar tune. If you look at the 3 Texas set lists or see the band's lack of energy in this state, there is something left to be desired for a true fan of DMB's work, but who can blame them with the audiences in this area. It was almost as if the band was at a struggle all night to keep the people engaged, let alone entertained and happy! Kudos to the boys for trying their best in a no-win situation. The best part of the show for me was the point at which I imagined the crowd of the American Airlines Center underneath Boyd's stomping feet during his triumphant solo toward the end of Ants Marching. Crush them to a pulp Boyd! They are not worthy of your talents! To the majority of the attendees at the AAC show, take a moment and put BTCS in your CD player. I know it will be hard for you, but don't skip to track #4 to hear Don't Drink The Water right away. There's a song on this CD that I'm sure you've never heard, especially when Dave Matthews Band played it on Friday night. It's called The Last Stop and it's track #3 on the CD. Give it a listen and then get down on your knees and beg a true fan to burn you a copy of the show you slept through on Friday night. If you have any sort of a clue, you will realize that you missed a phenomenal live song while you were bitching to your friends about the fact that the band hasn't played Tripping Billies yet! Other than that minor point, the crowd was great. Skip Texas next year DMB and play six in Chicagoland where you're appreciated.

Dave once again started with Dont Drink the Water. Even though he opens with that often I still loved it. Dave was dancing all over the stage to set the mood. Dave and the band started with lots of energy. Next came Crush, a very pleasant suprise. Carter played an amazing solo to finish it. Boyd played with amazing energy in this song. Drive in was a suprise as well Carter executed perfectly but he was kind of hard to hear. WTWE brought abunch of energy from the band and the crowd as well. Everyone was singing and dancing. The Last Stop was very energetic with Dave screaming the whole time. It was great. Boyd tore the house down again with his energetic playing. WAYG very nice to hear. So much to Say brought everyone to their feet. You cant help but sing along. Grey Street was amazing. The best song of the night I thought. The biggest suprise of the night was GIG. Loved it live. The encore was a little dissapointing. Everyone was screaming and Dave plays the Maker. Really killed the mood I thought. But he made up for it with the best AATW to end an amazing show. Over all excellent setlist to go along with the bands energy on stage.

Wow!! Where to begin.I know everyone says this, but last night was truly the best Dave show I've ever been to. On a number of levels: 1) Boyd was a on fire early with Crush and later with Ants Marching, 2) I was one of the 1st runners-up in the Boyd Tinsley Preorder contest - as a result, I got to attend the meet and greet after the show and received some front row tickets, 3) I got one of Carter's drumsticks he threw after the show. The band seemed to be really into it last night. Dave with his dancing and Thank Yous, Boyd tearing it up, Stefan getting into the action with some steel guitar on Grace is Gone, Leroy with his sunglasses, and always Carter. In all, it was a great concert - the band was alive and played a really good mix. The meet and great with Boyd was great, but I guess as a fanclub contest winner, I expected something a little more. I was with a big group that was brought into a room where, once Boyd came in, we had the opportunity to get some autographs and pictures. Meeting Boyd was so cool - He recognized me from the front row. He was really nice and very appreciative of the fans. Even after he'd been on stage all night and probably would have rather gone back to his bus and have a cold one, he seemed genuinely happy to be there.

Great show! I LOVED hearing Drive In Drive Out and I can't wait to get a copy of the show. Kind of disapointed in the lack of intro/outros tho but hearing some of the 'oldies but goodies' was great. There was a lot of energy in the crowd for OSW and when he got into Minarets...well, let's say I wasn't expecting that! I've never heard it live, so it was a nice moment. The highlight of the show (besides Watchtower) was Too Much. Love that song. Still haven't heard Jimi Thing in Dallas...maybe next year. Peace

Great show on Friday night. My favorites were Last Stop and One Sweet World. Last Stop was the most intense, loud performance I have ever heard and all the band members hit the mark on that one. Butch Taylor really adds a lot to the sound and I must say this was one of the top three out of the 12 DMB concerts I have seen.

This is only my 6th DMB concert, but I have to say it was the best I've seen. Last year we were in the 4th row. This year, our seats weren't near as good - we were on the side a bit further back, but I felt as though I was on stage with them. All the guys were in top form. The energy was incredible, between both the band and the crowd. Enjoyed the classic DMB they threw in, especially Minarets, Drive In Drive Out, etc. Though most of the crowd took a bathroom break during If I Had It All and Pay For What You Get, I enjoyed them. Overall, the highlight was most definitely Watchtower. I've been to my share of concerts, but the performance of this song was the highlight of my entire concert-going career. The band rocked. Between Watchtower and the guy two seats from me that passed out drunk in the middle of the show, I have never been so entertained. We are going to Tweeter Center in MA on the 2nd leg of the tour. If it is as good as this one, it will be well worth the drive from Fort Worth.

That Friday night was a very unexpected one and one of the best concerts i've heard from DMB. They kicked it off with DDTW which got everyone going. After that, some rare songs were performed, "Crush" and "Pay for What You Get." Crush was the best version ive heard yet, plenty of jamming going on after the lyrics, was very nice. Pay for What You Get was probably more unexpected, but everyone there embraced it and was more than happy to hear it performed live. Drive in Drive out was awesome and the best one ive heard up to now as well. WTWE had everyone singing and also got Dave going in his dance moves. Last Stop was one of the better jams they had that night and got a long applause as soon as it ended. It lasted probably a good 15-16 mins with Boyd and Leroi blasting away. It was awesome! Where are you going, So much to Say, and One sweet World were very nice to hear in order which led up to Grey Street, which was a crowd favorite heard that night. Dave got everyone singing to that one and Carter ended the song very nicely. Old favorites Ants Marching and Minarets were very cool to hear played, alot of the old were mixed in with some of the new. Was a better concert that what we had heard a year or 2 ago, just mostly new stuff. But with this year, there was a great balance which made for an ultimate jam. Grace is Gone had Stefan with a steel guitar in the intro, very nicely played. Stefan had a couple of his solo lead-ins to songs, and that is always great to hear. The cheers for the encore went on and got louder every minute until the encore songs begun. The maker was a sweet one to hear and Watchtower was explosive as i've ever heard it. To sum it up, everyone was on fire. Butch was great on the keyboard and just advanced the songs into overdrive. Boyd was really on fire, and his jams with Dave and Stefan were very cool. It was a great concert and American Airlines Center is the best place for it, acoustics in the building were better than i thought they would be. Looking forward to next year.

I've never been to a DMB show I didn't like -- until now. This show was a major disappointment. I realize that the Dallas crowd has changed considerably since the outdoor, cricket-ridden days of the Coco-Cola Starplex (now Smirnoff Center), but I didn't even feel like the band was trying. True, the set list was meager from the get-go, but I feel like they could've played the same songs and made me happy had they showed just an ounce of enthusiasum. I don't know...perhaps they've come to expect a rotten, snobbish crowd at the AA center -- a mob of wanna-bes more concerned with their attire and being seen at a pricey concert of a trendy band than groovin' to the music -- and therefore don't have to put on much of a show in order to make an okay night of it. It just made me sad. The performance, the crowd, the front row...all sad. Unlike the majority of the present-day DMB masses, I don't really go to SEE the band (although, granted, I DO enjoy glimpsing each member's little idiosyncracies as much as the next person) but rather I go to HEAR them. And at the AA center, for the first (and hopefully only) time, a DMB show just wasn't music to my ears.
