So maybe this setlist could have been a little tighter, but DMB can definetly pull off anything. The Stone was a perfect opener due to the lack of BTCS tunes in the last couple years here. Good call on mixing in a couple old tunes Dave (Lover Lay Down, Typical Situation). Typical was definetly a highlight. The guys have perfected that jam, and the crowd was getting into it towards the end. A midset Ants Marching was also a big plus. Its great to hear that stop time intro again, especially coming out of a great mellow version of Dreamgirl. Dave only got my hopes up with a couple teases, but I'd rather have a little tease than nothing. I just got these cd's and you can definetly hear a #40 Tease, followed by a soft played riff of #34. I can also make out Dave and Stefan jammin on the first couple lines of Dreaming Tree before You Might Die Trying. So maybe a couple of you fans that have been to 47 dave shows were depressed with the encore ( no offense to those veterans, because i hope to be one someday), but lets get it straight, Dave loves playing What You Are. Quite frankly i would have loved a jam tune, but anytime you see Dave get so intense and passionate during one of his songs, its definetly a highlight. Those screams were incredible, and What You Are gained a lot of respect from me in that set closer spot. Good show DMB.

This show was number 9 for me! Because the tour promotes Stand Up, this show was definitely not going to be my favorite. Going into the show realizing this I wasn't expecting to much, especially from these reviews. DMB fails to let me down! I didnt expect the stone to be the opener and its one of my faves to hear live so i was hooked off the bat. American Baby was good live but the follow up of Grey St got a lot of the fans attention. Lover Lay Down mellowed things off a bit, but I love this song and rarely hear it live. Hello Again was fun as well as dream girl. Ants Marching came from nowhere and pulled the crowd right back in and really got me pumped. Carter was just insane tonight. Smooth Rider ios a song I enjoyed but the rest of the crowd didnt react to it. WAYG didnt really fit but it was nice to hear and everybody sung. Hunger was funny because they shine really bright lights in your eyes. What my sister and I noticed about lots of the new songs is that they need to be jazzed up. Typical Situation was awesome to hear since it has been awhile. The broke into some cool jam in the middle and then broke back into typical with "it all comes down to nothing." I didnt enjoy Stand Up that much. I love hearing Everyday live just for the fan reaction. Louisiana Bayou was good. #40 tease was well...a tease :-D. I do not like hearing Too Much because I hear it ALLLL the time. The Encore was different. I love you might die trying so it started off well for me knowing there would be another stand up song. I love the song What You Are, it is my fave off of Everyday but i would have preferred a Two Step or Watchtower over it and the crowd didnt seem too thrilled with his selection. I didnt mind it too much. I was singing and dancing the whole time with my sister and our friends and the great people we met around us. I did notice a lot of people losing energy during Stand Up songs but I liked them live. Highlights: The whole beginning of the set....

Great show DMB :-D

Out of the 8 shows I have seen in my lifetime, this way by far the best. I called the opener of stone, and every song was just as tight as the next.. except for maybe smooth rider. Same exact encore as Hershey, but it was about 50 times better than Hershey. The energy was the highest I have ever seen and everything was perfect. Highlights were Ants and the mindblowing intro to WYA w/ Dave screaming 2 feet away from the mic and Steffan making ridiculous noises. All in all a great show. Without playing Two Step, Billies, or Watchtower.. probably the best show they could have played. Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Man, what a great show! The Stone was a killer opening song. I will admit I was a little nervous and not sure what to expect after reading some of the 2005 reviews. DMB had alot of energy, and they totally rocked the new songs this evening. It was also great to hear the classics like Ants, Everyday, and Too Much. They have a nice new twist I've noticed on Too Much thanks to Leroi on the Sax. What more can I see besides Louisiana Bayou is an instant favorite, Dream Girl was quite stellar, and Hunger for the Great Light really jammed. I can't wait for tomorrow's show!

I've been to a great deal of Dave shows, and this one at the start had the most potential ever, but also had the biggest let down. The first 7 songs were absolutely incredible, and they left me thinking, "wow, this is on the way to being the best dave concert ever." However, the high sadly ended there with a mood killing "Smooth Rider," a lot of eh songs which almost seemed like fillers after the great first 7, and then a TERRIBLY WEAK encore. I must say this concert had "one of the best" written all over it, but I unfortunately left the stadium craving much more than I got. It definately wasn't a waste of my money because I feel no Dave concert ever could be, but nevertheless, the bland middle set and disappointing finale left some people wanting more.

WOW...WOW...WOW... The Boys are back ! This was my 35th DMB show and I must say.... easily one of the very best, most exciting shows I've seen these guys do in a long long while ! From the Stone....all the way through to TOO MUCH... hot hot hot...ENERGY ! Dave seemed very happy tonight, as did the rest of the band, maybe having the 4th off rejuvinated them, maybe they were just ON tonight, either way it made for a GREAT show. I never thought I'd say thins, but the new stuff was nothing short of AMAZING... and the musical changes they made to the old DMB standards were awsome as well... Great Job boys, thanks for being you !

Tremendous show. Dave & the boyz are truly at the top of their game. Me and my wife have been going to DMB shows every year since 1994 and they energy and vibe is just as strong as years past. A very jazz inspired set tonight with a perfect mix of old and new. Hearing the new songs live give me a brand new appreciation for them. We they played ANTS, it woke up the crowd and took the show to a whole other level of intensity. Then a few songs later they pulled out TYPICAL SITUATION....right in the midst of this classic they improvised into a great jam then right back to close out the song. Only thing I would have liked better is two solid classics for the encore instead of You Might Die Trying and What You Are....good songs but these are not like, say...Dancing Nancies or Two Step. Looking forward to going back tonight!

It all started with the stone... and then It just Rocked all the way through. All the new songs sounded great, with the Jam on Lousiana Bay-OU just knocking the place down. Ants was awesome, Carter broke one of his drums in the middle of the song, But Boyd step it up and Jammed with every member of the band and Leroy twice.Carter then Leroy had a great night playing some sweet melodies on typical situation and some hard core low notes on the stone, and not to mention his little piece in american baby. The song that jumped out at me was Great light of love, what an awesome live song. No better way to end a show then to have dave strap on the electric guitar and blast out What you are.

Wow...I have often seen drumers go crazy, but I have never seen anyone go so wild with so much excitment and energy that they broke their drumb. It was pretty wild seeing the techies have to change the drum in the middle of Ants Marching. That sums up the whole show, lots of enegry.

WOW! I have been to many shows and this was by far-hands down the best one yet. The energy that they had was incredible. The STONE was a great way to kick off the show. AMERICAN BABY and GREY STREET sounded great. LOVER LAY DOWN is a really cool song to hear live. HELLO AGAIN & DREAM GIRL--WOW. Where do you go next. ANTS. Carter you are a FREAK. Broken drum and noone missed a beat. SMOOTHRIDER hit a bump in the middle but still good. WHERE ARE YOU GOING slowed down the pace but they brought it right back with HUNGER. Awesome song. TYPICAL came out of nowhere. STAND UP had everyone doing just that. Not that many people sat down during this show. EVERYDAY was cool. LOUISANA BAYOU. You have to hear it live. Really good. #40 tease into 2MUCH was crazy. YOU MIGHT DIE TRYING was incredible. I missed WHAT YOU ARE. But from what I did hear it sounded good. Had to leave early to sit in the tour bus and hang out with the band. They are truly a nice and genuine bunch of guys. Real down to earth and friendly. How can you top that experience. I don't know but I'll try tomorrow.

Well I have been to over 30 DMB shows this probably ranks in the lower end of the spectrum. The crowd was not really into the show all night. Too many new songs in a row. I miss the jam sessions and old songs that really get the crowd energized. Although Ants Marching and Typical Situation were great, the encores of You might die trying and What you are did not end the show that well. I hope in a couple of weeks in Randall's Island he makes up for a lackluster night.

WOW! I've been to at least one DMB show every year since 1995 and this was one of my favorites! The crowd was energized and rowdy, and this was one of the most rockin' shows I've ever seen him play. I was also drunk. I thought "The Stone" was a weird opener but after "American Baby," "Grey Street," and a really rocking version of "Hello Again," it turned out to be a fantastic show. I loved all the new songs and the old favorites like "Ants Marching" and "Too Much." The song "Everyday" was great which was followed by an unbelievable rocking version of "Louisiana Bayou," which ended up being my favorite song of the night. The only let-down was the encore, which didn't do much for me, but both songs did rock in their own way. It was a great show and loved every second of it.

The STONE was one of the best openers I've ever heard. I can't believe how good GREY STREET was. I've heard it like a million times, thought it got old, but it got me pumped. ANTS in the middle of the set couldn't have been any better. TYPICAL was rediculous. I'm so glad DMB broke it out. Camden went crazy. The encore DIE TRYING and WHAT YOU ARE would have been bearable if DMB didn't play the same exact encore at Hershey. The new songs from STAND UP are tight live.
