Flood Zone Dries Up

I'm hearing that it's pretty much a sure thing -- the Flood Zone in Richmond VA is going to close down. Weekly gigs at this venue, as well as at Trax were instrumental in the band's early days.

Some fans were worried that it would close before some upcoming shows went down, including Pat McGee Band. It doesn't look like doors will lock before these upcoming shows - this from Pat McGee Band's tour manager Jeff Caldwell :

"... I just spoke with the owner of the Flood Zone, and the venue is in negotiations with the city. It will, however, remain open during the evaluation process and should be operating normally on the 28th for our show ..."

It looks like the 'official' reason for the closing is that there have been several stabbings in the area around the Flood Zone over the past couple of weeks. Sources closer tell us that things are a bit more complicated then that ...
