ATO Signs Gov't Mule

ATO Records has signed Gov't Mule for "The Deep End," a trio of releases that features the band working with the world's top 25 bassists. We first brought you news of this release on July 23rd, when the band first announced the first disc, which will include DMB's Stefan Lessard. "The Deep End Vol. 1" will go on sale October 23rd, followed by a documentary DVD/VHS this winter, and then by "The Deep End Vol. 2" in the spring. This is the fourth artist signed to ATO Records, following David Gray, Chris Whitley, and Ben Kweller. ATO Records was founded early last year by Dave Matthews, Coran Capshaw, Michael McDonald and Chris Tetzeli. [Note: This story was supposed to go up last Friday, but I forgot to add it to the site.
