Dave to Perform at Sting Tribute

Dave Matthews will be performing at a tribute to Sting, Billboard reports. The February 6th event will honor the veteran musician's work as a musician and a humanitarian, where he will be named the MusiCares person of the year. Also performing are Elvis Costello, Elton John, John Mayer and Rufus Wainwright, among others. There are strong parallels between Sting's career and Dave Matthews' career, so the match is not terribly surprising. Presumably, Dave will be covering a Sting song, although it's anybody's guess which one, at this point. Thanks to Rob Potanovich for the tip.
