Dave Matthews Wins Grammy for "Gravedigger"
By Waldo Jaquith"Gravedigger," the first single from Dave Matthews September solo album, Some Devil, has won a Grammy in the "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" category. The song won out over David Bowie's "New Killer Star," Bob Dylan's "Down in the Flood," Lenny Kravitz's "If I Could Fall in Love," and Tom Waits' "Return of Jackie and Judy" (a Ramones cover). Dave Matthews Band has won a Grammy just once before, for "So Much to Say" way back in 1997. Thanks to Allison Smith, who was the first of many to send in the news.
