2005 Tour Kicks Off

Last night brought the first concert of the 2005 tour, which was held at the UMB Band Pavilion in Maryland Heights, Missouri. In addition to several songs from Stand Up, the band brought out a new cover -- The Zombies' one and only U.S. hit, "Time of the Season." (You've heard its harmonic refrain on oldies stations: "it's the time / of the season / for loving.") The reviews coming in are positive, indicating that Stand Up's transition from album to performance may go smoothly. Update: Zombies fans point out that "She's Not There" and "Tell Her No" were also big hits for them that shouldn't be discounted.
