Tinsley Endorses, Performs for Edwards

Today, the Edwards for President campaign announced that Boyd Tinsley has endorsed John Edwards as the Democratic nominee for president, and that Boyd will be performing with Hootie and the Blowfish in a fundraising concert in Columbia, SC this coming Friday. "Senator Edwards has an optimistic message that the country needs right now and I am excited to become a part of his campaign," said Boyd in a statement. A year ago, Tinsley donated $2,000 for Joe Lieberman, who is also seeking the Democratic nomination. In the past four years, Boyd has also provided a thousand dollars apiece to Democrats Bill Bradley and Al Gore, and to Republican John McCain. Thanks to Stephen Butler and Mike Giurato for the news.
